Research
My doctoral dissertation focuses on embodied and arts-based early additional language education. My resarch is based on the project Dansa språk! / Kieliä tanssien! ["Dance languages!"; 2019-2022], which was funded by The Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland and The Society of Swedish Literature in Finland (SLS). As part of my research, I have developed embodied and arts-integrated pedagogical practices for early language education in collaboration with teachers. Concrete examples can be found in a video-based teaching material, which is available online in Finnish and Swedish (https://sites.uniarts.fi/en/web/ellaresearchproject/kieli%C3%A4-tanssien-)
In the multidisciplinary ELLA research project, we explore how embodied language learning through the arts may contribute to renewing pedagogical practices in different educational settings (https://www.uniarts.fi/en/projects/embodied-language-learning-through-the-arts-ella/).
I describe my ongoing research in Finnish in a video by the University of Turku Communications (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYzrypqcn_U&t=2s)
