Areas of expertise

Active galactic nuclei
black holes
relativistic jets
optical spectroscopy
radio astronomy

I obtained a PhD in Astrophysics at University of Padova (Italy) in 2016. I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Padova for two years. I am now a postdoctoral fellow at the Finnish Centre for Astronomy with ESO - University of Turku, and I work at the Aalto University Metsähovi Radio Observatory.

My research focuses on the properties and the evolution of active galactic nuclei (AGN), and in particular of the peculiar class AGN known as narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxies. AGN can produce electromagnetic radiation at all frequencies. For this reason, I am currently carrying out new observations in radio, optical, and X-rays, aimed at having a clearer view on these amazing and still puzzling objects.
