Research

Current research is a part of the project: Student Selection to Teacher Education in Finland – Anticipatory Work for Future “DOORS”.  DOORS is a national development project to advance and improve student selection process to teacher education in Finland. The project consist three sub-projects. My research is focused on sub-project three where the aim is to create and establish a follow-up evaluation model by using existing data sources.  The purpose of the follow-up data and the evaluation model is to give preliminary research-based guidelines to the selection process for the teacher candidates. Second purpose of the follow-up data is to reform teacher education curricula for the systematic further education for the teachers during different phases of their career or developing and planning initiation into teachers.
