Biography

I've been working at Centre for Collaborative Research CCR at TSE since 2016. Currently I'm leading the Disruption Lab research group and working with numerous collaborative research projects, where academic research meets business world need for research-based knowledge. The research themes revolve aroung sustainability and innovation in businesses; particularly the capabilities linked to renewal and transformations aiming at more sustainable futures. I am passionate about sociental interaction and societal impact of research in business studies and therefore keen to apply participatory methods and doing interventions in the research projects.

Research

My research interests revolve around organisational responses to change. In my dissertation I examined highly international SMEs that deal with rapidly changing technologies and slowly changing markets. The capabilities of the organisations for managing their international partnerships were in the focus. As part of the study I conducted an extensive systematic review of empirical studies on dynamic capabilities.

After completing the doctoral thesis, I've had the opportunity to continue examining change in business organizations. Typically the change is linked to the opportunities and challenges of implementing new technologies. In particular, I've examined the implementation of mobile technologies in the construction industry and the related change in work. In addition, I've studied data-driven innovation and the capabilities for business model innovation.
