Biography

Thomas Westerholm acts as the director of the Disruption Lab at the Turku School of Economics (the Laboratory of Business Disruption Research, http://disrupt.utu.fi). The Lab's objectives are to create new understanding of disruptive phenomena in businesses and to create new strategies and business models for business life.

His previous career includes business and production managerial and developmental tasks at companies such as Bayer, Neste Jacobs, Steris Corp, Tervesytalo, Lindström, and PBI Research Institute. He has also worked as an entrepreneur and consultant developing internationally new businesses and services as well as digitalization within several business areas. 

His key competence areas include project management, service management and design, digitalization, innovation management and technology transfer and change management. He also possesses a wide experience of leading R&D projects.
