Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in Global Educational Services

Purpose of processing data

Global Educational Service CRM enables high quality service to the global educational service customers of the University of Turku. The register is needed to ensure all staff responsible for customer service and sales have updated information on the services, offers, negotiations and contracts for each customer.

Legal basis for data processing

Legal grounds for processing data is the legitimate interest of the Data Controller.

Personal data categories

Global Educational Service CRM manages information on the customers of global educational services. Persons, who express their willingness to receive information on the global educational services offered by the University of Turku, are considered as customers. The willingness to receive information may be expressed in writing, e.g. by contacting sales by email or by submitting request for proposal, or verbally e.g. in meeting with the customer or in a marketing event.

Information in the CRM includes the name of the customer, contact information, name of the organisation they represent, and information on the service process. Regarding the service process, information on the request or need of the customer is registered, as well as any service proposal, formal offer or contract with the customer. 

Retention period of personal data

Personal data is deleted after 5 years of last contact with the customer. 

Transfer of information

Personal data is not transferred outside the University of Turku. Data is not be transferred outside the EU or the European Economic Area.

Right of access, right of correction, right to be forgotten, right of restriction, right to object
