TIAS Mentoring Programme
TIAS researchers are provided a mentor at the start of their TIAS period.
Mentors come from outside of the host department of a researcher. Mentors provide careers advice and act as a “buddy” to TIAS researchers but they are not expected to offer discipline specific advice.
Mentors are expected to have at least five years postdoctoral experience of teaching and/or researching at a University/HEI. The most appropriate level might be that of senior lecturer or above. TIAS alumni employed at the University form an obvious target group here.
TIAS mentoring programme is organised as part of the mentoring programme for doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers organised jointly by the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University.
