TIEDEPÄIVÄ - VETENSKAPSDAGEN - RESEARCH DAY 2020

Research Day is an event organized jointly by the doctoral programme Utuling and the School of Language and Translation Studies, University of Turku. The event takes place on 24th April in Janus Hall, Kaivokatu 12, Turku.

INVITATION

We invite all master’s students, doctoral candidates, and other teachers and researchers working at the University of Turku or Åbo Akademi University to participate in Research Day.

In Research Day you can tell about your research projects be they in the process of being planned, about to be realized, finished or already once rejected. You may also tell others about your data, discuss ethical issues related to your study or seek research partners for a joint project application!

PROGRAMME

TIAS researcher Marko Lamberg plenary lecture: Osoitteiden tilalla - esimodernit sijaintikuvaukset yhteisö- ja luontosuhteen heijastajina

  • Tommi Kurki: Kieli- ja käännöstieteiden laitoksen tutkimusaineistojen pitkäaikaistallennus ja aineistoportaali 
  • All presenters: 1 minute pitch talk on their presentation as a prelude to rumination rooms
  • Rumination room 1: Talks
  • Rumination room 2: Posters
  • On-call lawyers
  • Meeting of Utuling doctoral candidates & Meeting of Utuling supervisors and future supervisors.

Your talk (10 min) or poster (printed or digital) need not to be perfectly polished, and can also present work in progress. The most important thing is to talk about your ideas, thoughts and data, learn new things and possibly find new research partners.

Send your proposal for a talk or a poster 15th April 2020 at the latest (including the title and a short description of the theme, ca. 50 words): Tiedepäivä-Vetenskapsdag-Research Day 2020

NOTE! Two lawyers employed by the University of Turku will be on-call during the Research Day. They will answer questions concerning legal matters and research data. You can send your questions beforehand while registering, or ask them on the spot.  

REGISTRATION

Register for Research Day  20th April 2020 at the latest.

From 14.15 onwards all the participants of the Research Day are welcome to join Humanistipäivä to celebrate the centenary of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Turku!
