Application Enclosures

All exchange students should

  1. submit an application for exchange studies online in SoleMOVE. Application link and instructions will be sent to each nominated student separately. NB! Erasmus Double Degree students (GITM, IMMIT, ITEM, LLEES Regensburg) make an exception and need not apply.

  2. include a Transcript of Records (official, in English), a Certificate of Language Skills and a Learning Agreement to the application.

Required Enclosures for Exchange Student Applications 

NB! The enclosures are attached to the online application and they must be in English.

  • Transcript of Records (an official list of courses taken at home university). This document must be signed and stamped by the applicant's home university.
  •  Certificate of Language Skills: Language Assessment Sheet or other official proof of your language skills (e.g. a valid TOEFL/IELTS test result). Please note that you should assess your skills in the language you are going to study in (English and/or Finnish). University of Turku requires a B2 level​ in English.


  • paper based: minimum score 575
  • internet based: minimum score 92

IELTS: minimum score 6,5

PTE Academic minimum requirement 62 points

Native speakers of English needn't submit a language certificate.

NB! The Certificate of Language Skills should not be more than 2 years old at the time you are submitting it.

  • Learning Agreement. Please enclose a PDF version of your Learning Agreement and list your chosen courses in the application form. This document must be stamped and signed by the applicant and the applicant's home university. Please use your home university's Learning Agreement template or find one here​. NB! Make sure you have the same courses on your Learning Agreement and on the proposed study plan in the application.
  • Please also check that your coordinator has nominated you as an exchange student candidate to the University of Turku. Coordinators submit nominations online in SoleMOVE.

It takes a minimum of 3 weeks to process the application.

All complete applications for the Autumn Semester will be processed in April-June and students will be informed at the end of June at the latest. (Applicants should note that summer holidays in Finland are during the months of July and August. Therefore, it is very important that all enclosures arrive before the deadline.)

Applications for the Spring Semester will be processed during October-November.
