University of Turku Establishes Joint Double Degree Programme in Future Health & Technology in collaboration with Fudan University, China

The new Master’s Degree Programme in Future Health & Technology will start in Autumn 2019 at the University of Turku. The programme, leading to a double degree, is organised in close collaboration with Fudan University in Shanghai, China. Thereby, the University of Turku expands the ongoing cooperation in the area of Information and Communication technology also to Health Sciences and Technology.

Health in Early Life and Parenthood

Our research aims to promote health and welfare in the early stages of life. We are interested in families expecting a child, prenatal period, birth, parent-infant closeness and breastfeeding as well as toddlers, school-aged children and parenthood. 

Research at the Department of Nursing Science

Nursing Science is a health science discipline that studies health and nursing care from different perspectives. The key focus of nursing science research is on the health of people of all ages and its promotion in various life situations and on caring for people with illness in different care environments. Nursing and care is examined from various perspectives, including those of self-care and health care professionals.
