There is an urgent worldwide demand to update skills on online pedagogics among teachers from elementary schools to universities. The Global Educational Services of the University of Turku is providing extensive online courses on online pedagogy and also courses designed for higher education teachers in particular.
The EC2U Forum was organised by University of Turku during 19–21 May, 2021. It was organised virtually and had several excellent keynote speakers and panelists. It had participants from the seven universities, cities and beyond.
Registered participants are able to see presentations and recordings of the Forum on the Liveto Platform for the next two weeks.
The Forum organised by the European Campus of City-Universities, EC2U Alliance, consisting of seven European universities will take place virtually during 17–21 May. The EC2U Forum hosted by the University of Turku focuses on topics including social sustainability, collaboration of universities and cities, and making students even more committed to their studies.
The “Research & Innovation For Cities & Citizens – RI4C2” project, submitted by the EC2U Alliance, has been awarded 2 million euro funding in the Horizon 2020 "Science with & for Society" SwafS call for European Universities. This grant will boost the Alliance's actions in Research and Innovation fields.
The five-minute video compilation on the centenary year celebrations of the University of Turku depicts an exceptional year. The coronavirus was a major factor in shaping the centenary year plans. The coronavirus pandemic has moved education online, but has not stopped the global interest towards KiVa Antibullying Program. A new extension agreement has just been made in New Zealand and the use of this antibullying program is currently negotiated in the Middle East and South East Asia as well.
The Education Finland is a governmental cluster programme coordinated by the Finnish National Agency for Education. The programme promotes and supports Finnish education providers and matches their services with international customers.
Education is currently being transferred online increasingly fast, propelled by the coronavirus situation. This challenges teachers and instructors around the world to update their skills on online pedagogics. There is now a global demand for the extensive knowledge of the University’s experts in online teaching.

The competition is held at Turku School Economics in the OP lecture hall at 12.15pm, and the event is open for the public.
