The goal is to take advantage of the original journal's reputation, convincing researchers to submit their articles and pay article processing charges (APC) to the fraudulent publisher.

Open publishing quota in Taylor & Francis journals has come to an end, but free open publishing continues

Researchers at the University of Turku can still publish their articles for free as open access in several Taylor & Francis journals until the end of the year 2024, even though the article quota under the agreement with FinELib has ended. The university aims to cover the Article Processing Charges (APCs) for the remainder of the year.
