Helping undergraduate students manage their research data – data management plan template now available

Research data is key even in undergraduate students' research process. One of the prerequisites for the reliability of academic research is that it is carried out following good scientific practices. A research data management plan is a great tool to ensure this goal is reached. Turku University Library has recently created a template for data management plans tailored specifically to students' needs, with which they can plan the management of their data throughout the thesis process.

Academy of Finland Funding and Data Management Plan – University of Turku Process and Services during the Summer

Since the Academy of Finland September call 2020, significant changes have been made to the University of Turku process for approving and accepting of the funding. The research support services at the University of Turku will help the researcher in writing the plan. To ensure the quality of the service, we would like to remind the researchers of the summer schedules.

University of Turku to Store Research Data in the National Digital Preservation Service

Digital preservation refers to long-term storage of digital information in an accessible and usable form for several decades or even centuries. The University of Turku has applied and been granted a permission by the Ministry of Education and Culture to store the materials in the Archives of History, Culture and Arts Studies (ACS Archive) to the national Digital Preservation Service for research data (DPS for research data). The University has signed an agreement with CSC – IT Center for Science this week. CSC is responsible for the realisation of the service.
