University of Turku Becomes a Member of an Advisory Group for Sustainable and Inclusive Digital Transformation

University of Turku has been accepted as a member of an advisory group representing civil society and academia in a new, multi-stakeholder platform Digital for Development (D4D) Hub. The D4D Hub promotes collaboration between the European Union and its global partners for inclusive and sustainable digital transformation. 

University of Turku as a case study in Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation on the HEInnovate portal

A case study of the University of Turku has been published on the HEInnovate portal for higher education institutions maintained by the OECD and the European Commission.  The case focuses on how the University enhances entrepreneurial attitude, behavior, and culture throughout the entire institution and beyond with the help of digitalisation.

  • improved utilisation of assets and resources
  • more efficient processes and better productivity

Report on digitalization of environmental management tools in ports has been published

Digitalization of Ports´ Environmental Management Tools report has been published as part of GET READY project. The report concentrates on the sustainable development and green growth of ports with a focus on how it can be boosted with (digital) environmental management tools (EMT). These are most commonly practices that will enhance sustainable development when followed by port personnel.

University of Turku Participates in Smart Health for Europe Event on October 7

The University of Turku, in collaboration with Novartis Finland Oy, Business Finland, the University of Eastern Finland, and the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, organises a Smart Health for Europe seminar at Musiikkitalo on October 7, 2019. The seminar explores future health ecosystems and networks with Smart Health stakeholders from start-ups to healthcare decision makers, investors and more. The Finnish EU Presidency in 2019 provides a great opportunity to discuss the combination of legislation, health sector growth, research and development, and start-ups.
