The University of Turku is opening for application access to a research residence renovated from the birthplace of former Finnish President Mauno Koivisto (”Manun kammari”, "Manu's chambers"). The application period ends on 15 December 2023 at 16.00.
The Faculty of Social Sciences introduces bridge funding for those aspiring to become an Academy Research Fellow. Applications are invited from researchers who applied in the last round of applications for an Academy Research Fellow position but were not successful and will apply again in the winter 2024 call.
Is Europe a divided continent or a united union? The Europe Forum organised in Turku for the sixth time is focused around this question. The Forum changed its dates to August–September and will also relocate to new venues: A Speakers’ Corner hosted by Director of the Centre for Parliamentary Studies Markku Jokisipilä will be located at Turku market square, other event venues include the Sigyn hall on Linnankatu street as well as the premises of the Turku Conservatory and Arts Academy.
Europe specialisation studies provide a diverse, multi-disciplinary study programme that examines Europe as a whole from the perspective of area and institutions, with focus on a wide and thorough understanding of Europe as an area and phenomenon.
The centre functions in the field of learning and instruction as a multidisciplinary, nationally and internationally high-level basic and applied research unit and post graduate training unit.
The centre fulfils also service function in the university and in the society at large by offering graduate and in-service training, educational technology services, as well as producing publications and applications in the field of learning research.
