The EC2U Forum 2021 is now over. Now we can enjoy the new ideas, contacts and discussion generated by the forum. Turku says Thank you.

We will meet again on Friday 24th of September when we have our first Science Battle. In the raffle the firs competitors are University of Pavia, University of Poitiers and University of Turku. On the last friday on September 2022 will compete the teams from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, University of Coimbra, Friedrich Schiller University of Jena and University of Salamanca.

The joint European Campus of City-Universities (EC2U) alliance forum of seven European universities will be held from 19 to 21 May. The core themes of the event, organised by the University of Turku, are social sustainability, cooperation between cities and universities, as well as micro-credentials and students' engagement. Registration for the whole event or parts of it is now open.

EC2U Forum 19-21 May 2021

The EC2U Forum was organised by University of Turku during 19–21 May, 2021. It was organised virtually and had several excellent keynote speakers and panelists. It had participants from the seven universities, cities and beyond.

Registered participants are able to see presentations and recordings of the Forum on the Liveto Platform for the next two weeks.

Turku Invites Partners to EC2U Forum in May

The Forum organised by the European Campus of City-Universities, EC2U Alliance, consisting of seven European universities will take place virtually during 17–21 May. The EC2U Forum hosted by the University of Turku focuses on topics including social sustainability, collaboration of universities and cities, and making students even more committed to their studies.

EC2U Allies received Horizon funding for Research and Innovation

The “Research & Innovation For Cities & Citizens – RI4C2” project, submitted by the EC2U Alliance, has been awarded 2 million euro funding in the Horizon 2020 "Science with & for Society" SwafS call for European Universities. This grant will boost the Alliance's actions in Research and Innovation fields.

Liisa Järvinen Appointed as Project Manager for EC2U

Liisa Järvinen has been appointed as the Project Manager for the European Campus of City-Universities (EC2U) Alliance at the University of Turku. Vice Rector Pia Björn is in charge of the operation at the University of Turku. During the Alliance, joint Master’s degree programmes will be created to seven European universities and the aim is to benefit from collaboration in education, research and innovation.

University of Turku has received the status of a European University together with a transnational alliance of higher education institutions

The European Commission approved a total of 24 new members to join the alliance of European Universities. The University of Turku is part of the European Campus of City-Universities, EC2U university alliance, which aims to promote cooperation between the alliance’s universities and cities.
