The centre functions in the field of learning and instruction as a multidisciplinary, nationally and internationally high-level basic and applied research unit and post graduate training unit.

The centre fulfils also service function in the university and in the society at large by offering graduate and in-service training, educational technology services, as well as producing publications and applications in the field of learning research.

INVEST Received Flagship Funding for a Second Term

The Academy of Finland has granted a continued funding of over 9 million euros to the Inequalities, Interventions and New Welfare State Flagship INVEST. The funding period extends until 2026. The international review panel which completed a mid-term review of the Flagship found its activities excellent and very successful while also considering its plans for the future promising.

Global Taskforce Set to Demystify and Overcome Vaccine Hesitancy by Tackling Misinformation

Vaccine hesitancy was recognised as a serious threat by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2019. Now, international experts are joining forces to combat vaccine hesitancy by tackling its root cause – misinformation. With EU funding, the project will harness the potential of health care professionals to challenge misconceptions about vaccination, reinforce confidence in vaccines, and encourage uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine, including being immunised themselves.
