DIGITAL NURSING TURKU

PURPOSE 
The purpose of the Digital Nursing Turku -research programme is to foster the use of information technology and digital solutions to support decision-making in health care – mainly in nursing. Our programme includes scientific education, and basic and empirical research. We have strong stakeholder approach and do research together with patients, professionals, health care organisations and enterprises.  
 
The research program of Digital Nursing Turku concentrates on health promotion, clinical patient care, management as well as knowledge management with the support of smart technology. The research is currently targeting to increase knowledge in the areas of:

  • Knowledge-Based Management in the Acute Care Setting
  • Knowledge-Based Management in Perioperative Nursing
  • IoT for Basic Nursing Care
  • Basic Nursing Care (The Step)
  • Tailored Information for Patient’s and Professionals (Tailor)
  • Research Group on Health Games  (TEPE)

This research program is operating in educational and research field both nationally and internationally.
