The Alumni – a Vital Part of the Community
Turku School of Economics organised a Master´s Degree Ceremony for its graduates in May 2012. For the ceremony, the participants tied laurel wreaths which symbolise knowledge and the triumphal end of the academic toil.

Active alumni relationships benefit everyone. Alumni find contacts, networks and new information, while TSE places a high value on its alumni's contribution to developing the School's operations.

Alumni of Turku School of Economics are also welcome to join the alumni network of the University of Turku.

Alumni activities are planned by the Alumni Council headed by Dean of the Turku School of Economics Markus Granlund. Executive Secretary Terhikki Saari will act as coordinator of alumni affairs.

Alumni Day – the flagship of alumni activities

Every October, the School organises an Alumni Day, bringing hundreds of graduates back to TSE each year. During the event, alumni give presentations on topical issues. Several classes also organise their own meetings during Alumni Day.

In Spring term alumni go to Helsinki to meet each other at Alumni AfterWork. It's useful to explore in Helsinki the well-known companies which act as host to the event.

Registered Alumni receive e-alumni newsletters per year. It contains TSE's magazine for stakeholders, e-Mercurius, as well e-Aurora and e-KYliste magazines.
Via e-newsletters alumni are also invited to stakeholder seminars, other events and to several celebrations organised by Turku School of Economics.

Let's stay in touch!

In addition to the annual events, a significant part of alumni activities takes place in the context of TSE's research and education.

Turku School of Economics wishes to be an active partner for the business sector. It warmly welcomes alumni who give guest lectures on their work, for example.

The School is continuously developing its offerings to alumni, and tends continuously to find new forms of networking.
