Information for incoming students

Please take some time to carefully read through this page for practical information concerning your studies at Turku School of Economics.
In addition, you may also find related information from UTU's main pages. The orientation is primarily for exchange students, but international students as a whole will also find it useful.

Important deadlines

You should confirm your enrolment with the confirmation form. The form will be sent to you by mail. It should be filled in and returned to the Office for Academic Affairs of the Turku School of Economics at the beginning of August (exact date to be informed later). You will lose your right to enrol if the form is not returned by the deadline.

You should register at the Office for Academic Affairs as soon as you arrive in Turku. Before registering at the office you should pay the Student Union membership fee. For 2013 the membership fee was around €90. The registration and the membership payment should be made by early September (see more exact information on registration: Registration with the University).

The orientation for all incoming students will begin at the Turku School of Economics at the end of August. The orientation includes practical information on studying at the School and introduction of the facilities offered for students (library services, computer facilities, language courses and medical services etc.) The information given during the orientation is crucial in helping foreign students settle in easely and quickly.

Your individual study plan

All students will prepare their individual study plans at the beginning of the academic year under the guidance of faculty members. As soon as you have arrived please contact Education Coordinator and make an appointment to discuss your study plan.
Teaching starts at the beginning of September.
