Department of Occupational Health

The Department of Occupational Health provides education and specialist training for medical students at the University of Turku. 

Occupational health care in Finland includes both preventive health care and diagnostics of work related diseases and occupational diseases, as well as screening and care of common public health problems. 

The most common causes of work related diseases are noise, repetitive work and other physical factors, irritative and allergenic compounds, fumes and dusts, including organic dust. Occupational health care in Finland is based on national legislation, laws and by-laws.
