RESEARCH SEMINAR ON SEA AND MARITIME STUDIES

Sustainable use of Marine and Coastal areas in Changing Environmental Conditions The thematic collaboration in Sea and Maritime Studies together with the Department of Geography and Geology arrange a research seminar on Sustainable use of Marine and Coastal areas in Changing Environmental Conditions. The aim of the seminar is to present and discuss research activities and collaborations as well as promote multidisciplinary research co-operation. The seminar is chaired by Professor Petteri Alho. Introductory speech is given by university lecturer Harri Tolvanen, followed by a panel discussion. The final programme will be announced later. The seminar is open for all students and researchers. This is the first research seminar of the thematic collaboration in Sea and Maritime Studies (http://sea-maritime.utu.fi/). These research seminars are open for all UTU researchers and students. They are arranged 2-3 times in both spring and autumn semesters. The aim of the seminars is to look at sea from different perspectives, to increase awareness on the sea-focused research at the University of Turku, and actively promote multidisciplinary collaboration.
