Biography

Currently I am part of the Photosynthetic Microbes group led by Prof. Yagut Allahverdiyeva-Rinne.

Master of Science in Genetics and Physiology, 2021-2023, University of Oulu, Finland

Thesis: The importance of methylotrophy and type IVB secretion system for Methylorubrum extorquens DSM13060 in colonization of Scots pine

Bachelor of Science in Biology and Biosciences, 2018-2021, University of Oulu, Finland

Thesis: Utilizing the light dependent reactions of photosynthesis for energy production.

Research

I am studying the plant growth promoting effects and antimicrobial and antifungal effects of microalgae extracts. The primary objective of my project is to develop novel agrichemical formulations sourced from microalgae that demonstrate both biostimulant and a biopesticidal effect, while also elucidating their molecular action mechanisms.
