Beyond Entangled Exhibition and Public Lecture
Welcome to Beyond Entangled, an exhibition developed within the joint Nordic Beyond E-textiles project, showcasing sustainable smart textiles.
The exhibition will present the project's latest work, featuring light-responsive textiles that interact with their surroundings by changing shape, color and other characteristics. The exhibition will also showcase other sustainable textile industry solutions, such as dyes extracted from bio-waste.
This exhibition blends art and science, combining insights from physics, materials engineering, crafting, and textile design to explore new possibilities in textiles.
The prototypes will be on display at Turku City Library from 2 May to 1 June 2025. The exact address of the library is Linnankatu 2, 20100 Turku.
Kati Miettunen, Professor of Materials Engineering at the University of Turku, will give a public lecture on photo-responsive textiles on Monday 5 May at 6 pm. The public lecture and exhibition are free of charge and open to anyone interested.
