Since AI Hackathon 2026 – 1,000+ AI builders coming to Turku

Since AI 2026 brings together more than 1,000 international AI, software and technology builders in Turku to solve real challenges from 15 companies. Teams will build working AI products and live demos in 72 hours. Participation is free and the cash prize pool is €50,000.
Global partners include Google for Developers, AMD, LUMI AI Factory, ElevenLabs, Aiven, Lovable, n8n, Bayer, Sandvik, Kongsberg, Valmet, Antler and Inventure. Google’s Web AI Lead Jason Mayes will travel from the San Francisco Bay Area to speak on site in Turku.
The strongest solutions will receive approximately eight weeks of continued support towards validation, pilots and production. The event is open to students, researchers, developers, designers, founders and other builders worldwide.

For students:
The Faculty of Technology offers a Hackathon Project Course worth 1–5 ECTS. The course aims to encourage students to participate in hackathon events organised outside the scope of university courses, and to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies independently, either individually or as part of a team.
