Teekkari Cap Day Celebration

On Wednesday, 30 September, engineering students across Finland celebrate National Teekkari Cap Day, marking the annual tradition of putting their teekkari caps away for the winter until the next May Day (Wappu). To celebrate the occasion, the Faculty of Technology, Teekkarikomissio yhdistys ry, the student organization Technica ry, and TEK (Academic Engineers and Architects in Finland) will host an event open to the entire university community.

Programme:

Coffee and Barbecue Sausages

Staff from the Faculty of Technology will offer participants coffee and barbecue sausages. A vegan option will also be available.

Kyykkä Demonstration

Technica ry will host a kyykkä demonstration, both experienced players and first-timers will have the opportunity to learn about this traditional Finnish game and try it out for themselves.

Teekkari Cap Maintenance Station

Teekkarikomissio will host a teekkari cap maintenance station, where you can prepare your cap for winter storage using traditional methods.
