UNICOM+ Career Exploration Workshop II: Co-Creating Solutions
Are you an early career researcher (doctoral researcher or postdoc) and curious about career opportunities beyond academia? Have you faced challenges navigating the job market in Finland? We invite you to participate in our UNICOM+ Career Exploration Workshops!
Building on insights from the first workshop, this session focuses on brainstorming and designing concrete solutions to improve career services for international PhDs. Registration fo this event has closed.
In the first workshop on 29 April we explored the key challenges international early career researchers face when seeking employment beyond academia. Through interactive discussions, we mapped out opportunities and obstacles in the Finnish job market for people in different situations.
The final workshop will be held on Monday 9 June 2025 from 10:00–12:00. In the third workshop we will test and refine the proposed service model based on feedback of early career researchers. This is your chance to ensure that the solutions truly meet the needs of international early career researchers.
UNICOM+ (Uniting Companies, Employers and International University Talents 2025–2027) is a European Union co-funded project that e.g. aims to improve the career prospects of international PhD researchers by developing services that help bridge the gap between academia and the job market. These workshops are your chance to make your voice heard and shape the future of career support for PhDs in Finland.
