I started as university lecturer in foreign languages at the department of teacher education in August 2020 (fixed term 2020-2022). Before this I worked as a lecturer at the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht in the Netherlands where I trained pre-service English teachers. I obtained my Ph.D. in early 2020 (University of Jyväskylä, Finland). My doctoral dissertation was on CLIL education. I have a background in teaching. I have worked as a special class teacher in Finland for five years and as a teacher at an International Baccalaureate school in the Netherlands for two years.

My main research interests include CLIL education, differentiation and intercultural education. Currently, I have ongoing projects on differentiation in foreign language teaching as well as CLIL pupils' perceptions of language proficiency.
