My research focuses on the role of teaching literature in the secondary school system in Finland. 

The aim of my research is to develop a better understanding of the approraches to teaching literaturature that are currently used in the Finnish Upper Secondary School System. Another aim is sketch out alternatives to those views based on newer scientific theories from Literature studies and Educational sciences.
