Biography

Elina works as a University Lecturer in International Business. She defended her dissertation in 2013 at Turku School of Economics. Prior to her current position, she worked as a researcher at the Pan European Institute of Turku School of Economics. Elina is a shop steward and a board member of University of Turku Researchers, Teachers and Lecturers.

Teaching

Elina teaches courses on Basics of International Business; Multinational Enterprises and Foreign Direct Investment; and Intercultural Marketing Management. In addition, she is an instructor on a business simulation game course and a supervisor for Master's and Doctoral Theses.

Research

Elina's research has focused on changes in business networks, mechanisms of FDI spillovers, and cross-border acquisitions in the context of Russian bakery industry. In addition to these, her research interests include the interplay between MNEs and institutional environment. She also studies learning from business simulations.
