MA and M.Sc. (Economics and Business Administration) Elisa Aro works at Finland Futures Research Centre in maritime-related sustainability projects.

She also works as Grant Researcher for a project called MUUTOS (in Finnish: "Megatrendit uudistamassa meriteollisuutta Suomessa") at the Pan-European Institute. The project is financed by the Foundation for Economic Education.

She has several years’ experience from projects focusing on making global maritime processes more sustainable by digitalising them and using resources eco-efficiently. Prior to University of Turku, she worked within international business and marketing in several organisations in Finland and Spain.
