Biography

Currently researcher in the SustainLANG-project led by Prof. Minna Maijala.

The SustainLang-project is funded by the Research Council of Finland (2024–2028) and focuses on the 'Implementation of sustainable development goals in language teaching and learning'.

Second and foreign language (English, Finnish, German) teaching experience in Finland and the United Kingdom.

Research

My main research fields are educational linguistics and technology. Further, I have a strong interdisciplinary research interest in ethics and sustainability. 

Lately, I have been contributing to LESLLA, Literacy Education and Second Language Learning for Adults, research, specializing in technology-mediated initial literacy training and teaching of adult migrants with limited/interrupted educational backgrounds and digital literacy support of adult emergent readers of L2 Finnish.
