Biography

I work as an information specialist at the university library in the Academic Information Skills and Operational Support unit. In my work, I focus on stakeholder collaboration and the development of library services and education. You can always contact me if you want to collaborate with the library in any way!

Teaching

Developing the teaching activities of the University Library is an integral part of my work, and pedagogical development is therefore close to my heart. The library is committed to ensuring that the academic information literacy and AI literacy instruction offered by the University Library is accessible to all students in the future. We also place a strong emphasis on constructive alignment and accessibility in our teaching.

In addition, I have taught Information Studies at Åbo Akademi University and supervised Master's theses as well as a doctoral dissertation.

Research

I have a PhD in information studies, and I have previously worked as a university lecturer and researcher. My research interests include misinformation as part of people's everyday life, equitable and sustainable access to information, and ways to enhance information transfer between people. Most of my research is conducted in the context of immigration and youth.
