Biography
I work as a gardener at the Botanical Garden of the University of Turku, where I started as a seasonal employee in 2007. I begun in my current permanent position since March 2025. I studied horticulture at the HAMK University of Applied Sciences (Lepaa unit) in 2006-2009. In 2011-2012 I completed postgraduate studies in Sustainable Development and Permaculture in Ireland (Kinsale College, Kinsale, Co. Cork)
In 2001-2006 I worked at Arboretum Mustila, Kouvola In 2019-2025.
I worked as a part-time horticulture teacher at the Livia Vocational College, Tuorla, Piikkiö. In addition I have worked at several nurseries and at the Vakka-Taimi special plant nursery.
I specialize in Dendrology, cultivation of exotic plant crops, plant propagation and Agroforestry practices.
I also work as a guide at the Botanical Garden and arrange events and workshops.
