Biography

I majored in theoretical physics with my master's thesis focusing on the subject of continuous variable quantum systems. Lately I have grown increasingly interested in the mathematics of quantum theory and the near future applications of quantum mechanics in technology.

I also like thinking and learning about pure mathematics and I'm especially interested in topology, representation theory of groups and Lie algebras, and functional analysis. Really I enjoy thinking about any sort of analytical problem no matter the context.

Previously I spent some time thinking about analysis and simulation of non-stationary data at the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering.

I also enjoy programming and enjoy learning methods for optimising code for example for the purpose of numerical physics simulations.

Research

My PhD research continues the themes of my master's thesis and focuses on using non-Gaussian states and operations as a resource in quantum reservoir computing.
