In translational research, TPCC (Turku Prostate Cancer Consortium) has been important with the aim to improve prostate cancer research through biobanking. My clinical research has focused especially on prospective multicenter studies, both academic as well as pharmaceutical sponsored studies. In the past few years, single most important project has been the Promic-study which is designed to study the assocation of prostate cancer, life-style and gut microbiota.
