Biography

I defended my PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics at Observatoire de Paris (France) in 2016. I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in IAS (Orsay, France) for one year before moving to Mexico. In Mexico, I worked as an UNAM fellowship at IRyA (Morelia) for two years and as a CONACyT postdoctoral researcher at INAOE (Puebla). I am now a postdoctoral fellow at the Finnish Centre for Astronomy with ESO - University of Turku, and I work at the Aalto University Metsähovi Radio Observatory.

Teaching

For the three years of my PhD, I was also a teaching assistant at Université Paris-Sud. I was teaching Physics for 64h per year at the Bachelor level. Then, I was teaching radioastronomy at IRya for the Master program in Astrophysics of UNAM.

Research

My research focuses on the co-evolution between supermassive black holes and their host galaxies. On one side, I study the effect of AGN feedback on how molecular gas and star formation are related to each other. On the other side, I study the mechanisms that produce large gas outflows in narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxies.

I adopt an observational approach mainly based on millimetric radio astronomy, focusing on the coldest
phases of the ISM as the key ingredient for star formation.
