Biography
I received my PhD from the University of Turku, where I made an 18 year career in astronomy in Tuorla observatory. During this time, besides independent research in the Local Volume studies, I was involved in teaching, computer management and science communication. In 2014 I moved to the USA and worked e.g. in the Institute for Astronomy in the University of Hawai'i. I returned back to Finland and began working in the health technology unit in the University of Turku in 2020.
