Biography
I work as a postdoctoral researcher, and my research bridges science education and educational psychology. I am particularly interested in the affective, that is, emotional, dimension of learning, as well as learning-related challenges such as dealing with mistakes and encountering failure in authentic learning situations. My aim is to produce research-based knowledge on how students can best be supported in these situations and helped to see challenges as opportunitites for learning and growth.
I coordinate the national research project Learning Paths in Chemistry and Physics. Our goal is to produce research-based knowledge on how digital pedagogical solutions influence learning in chemistry and physics, as well as students' attitudes in technology-supported instruction. The research focuses on aspects such as emotions during learning, student engagement, the development of learning motivation, the role of mistakes in learning, and the role of experimental work in blended learning environments that combine online and in-person instruction.
