Biography

I began my studies in Finnish and Finno-Ugric languages in the University of Turku in 2021. In 2025 I received my MA degree in Finno-Ugric languages. The focus of my master's thesis was the use of possessive suffixes and the so-called relation forms (a somewhat curious grammatical category) in South Saami. I am currently working as a doctoral researcher.

I also have a master's degree in journalism (Master of Social Sciences, Tampere University, 2019).

Research

I am broadly interested in the morphology and syntax of Uralic languages, including Finnish (encompassing standard Finnish as well as various colloquial and dialectal varieties). I've mostly studied Finnic, Saami and Mordvin. My dissertation focuses on the use of possessive suffixes in Finnic and Saami languages.
