Biography

I am a geographer, researcher and teacher. Mainly, my research has concentrated on the application of geostatistical methods, geoinformatics, remote sensing and in situ measurements on examining environmental patterns and processes.

As of September 2021, my work concentrates on pan-Arctic shoreline displacement patterns, their local realization and land use impacts (Academy of Finland postdoctoral project). My work continues on spatial methodology in multidisciplinary human history research (Academy of Finland project URKO).

I have a PhD in physical geography (University of Helsinki 2015) and I am a qualified subject teacher in geography and biology.
