Biography
Venla Mathlein (LL.M.) is a doctoral researcher specialising in consumer protection and food law, with a particular focus on the marketing of animal-based food products. Her research interests also include animal protection law, the regulation of large carnivores, marketing law, and legal theory.
Teaching
Venla Mathlein coordinates the course Consumer Law in Practice (Kuluttajaoikeus käytännössä), which focuses on public enforcement in consumer law. She has delivered guest lectures on consumer protection, legal theory, and environmental and climate law. She also coordinates animal law courses at Åbo Akademi.
