The School of Languages and Translation Studies is an expert organisation whose members specialise in multidisciplinary research on language systems, the present and past phenomena of individual languages and the general features of human language. Our researchers participate in the various thematic collaborations of the University of Turku: digital futures; cultural memory and social change; children, young people and learning; health, diagnostics and drug development; sea and maritime studies.

CEAS regularly organizes and hosts visiting lectures, seminars and international conferences. Information about upcoming events are shared on the CEAS website and CEAS' social media channels.
The Integrative physiology and pharmacology research unit covers widely the field of biomedicine. The research themes cover areas such as endocrinology, metabolism, bioimaging and diagnostics, drug development and medical treatment. The methodology used includes different in vitro cell culture models and translational animal models. The most advanced microscopy, x-ray and PET devices and methods are applied on the field of bioimaging.
