As an accepted exchange student, you will be assigned a student tutor who will help you settle in, assist you with practical matters and guide you through student life in Turku.
Exchange students coming for the Autumn semester or the full academic year will receive the contact information of their tutor in June.
Exchange students coming for the Spring semester will receive the contact information in December.
The contact information is sent by email.
Each tutor has a group of exchange students.

Tutors are local degree students who are interested in foreign cultures and languages. They volunteer to help you get a smooth start in your studies and stay in Finland!
Your tutor is often one of your first local contacts in Finland, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
Once you receive the contact information of your student tutor, introduce yourself and inform them about your arrival day, time, and place as soon as possible so that they can make arrangements to meet you upon your arrival.
You can also ask them about practical matters, student life, and any related questions.
We will share the following information with your tutor by email: your name, gender, email address, and the name and country of your home university. This allows your tutor to contact you.
If you do not need a tutor and do not wish your contact details to be shared, please inform us by sending a message to incoming@utu.fi before June (Autumn semester) or December (Spring semester).
