University Network – A Pioneer in Continuous Learning
The University Network at the Forefront of Continuous Learning project aims to strengthen the capabilities of university staff in designing and delivering microcredentials. These short programmes are work-life-oriented study modules that enable flexible and efficient upskilling during employment.
The project consists of five work packages:
- Project Coordination (University of Eastern Finland)
Responsible for overall coordination and project management. Customer-Centric Operating Models(University of Lapland)
Developing a shared understanding of short learning programmes and how they can be implemented in a customer-centric way.Competence Development of University Staff (Tampere University)
Creating a MOOC course that introduces the design and implementation of short learning programmes.Collaborative Model for Planning Educational Provision (University of Turku)
Establishing shared practices to enhance inter-university collaboration and reduce overlapping educational offerings.Communication and Dissemination of Results (University of Oulu)
Managing project communications and publishing the results.
The project is funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and runs from 1 May 2025 to 30 April 2027. The participating universities are: University of Eastern Finland, University of Lapland, University of Oulu, Tampere University, University of Turku, University of Vaasa, and Åbo Akademi University.
