The University of Turku celebrates its 102nd anniversary on 28 February 2022. Join us in celebrating the anniversary!
The Anniversary Celebration recording can be watched on 28 February 2022 from 10.00am onwards or whenever it suits you at a later time.
Rector Jukka Kola opens the Celebration with a speech, followed by awarding the Alumn of the Year 2022 recognition of the University of Turku.
The Celebration also includes awarding the Phoenix Universitatis Turkuensis decorations. The decorations are awarded to people who have significantly distinguished themselves in realising the intellectual or material goals of the University of Turku. The Celebration starts with a performance by a fire artist group.
The Anniversary Celebration of the University of Turku has traditionally been celebrated on the Kalevala Day on 28 February.
