FIRST+ teacher exchange

The FIRST+ programme supports teacher mobility both from Finland to Russia and from Russia to Finland.

FIRST+ Teacher exchange to Finland

The application round for FIRST+ network teacher exchange for Spring semester 2020 (1. - 31.5.2020) will end on September 30 2019 at 23.59 Finnish time. The scholarships is available for the staff members of the Russian partner universities.

The application form for Russian teachers

Universities of Category 1

  • 3 scholarships for 3 days (300 euros)

Universities of Category 2

  • 2 scholarships for  5 days (600 euros)

The teaching provided during an exchange must be an integral part of the hosting institution’s curriculum.

  • Teaching may be given at any degree level (Bachelor, Master, Doctoral)
  • The minimum duration of a teaching exchange is five teaching hours.
  • The allowance is primarily meant to be a partial funding for the trip and the person's own unit must cover all the exceeding expenses for those parts that FIRST+ partial scholarship doesn't cover.
  • FIRST + scholarship application is conditional. There are no agreed placements - therefore the applications are processed case by case.
  • After the application deadline all the applications are sent to the departments in question. They will decide who will get the scholarship.

FIRST+ Teacher exchange to Russia

The application round for FIRST+ network teacher exchange for Spring semester 2020 (1.1. - 31.5.2020) will end on September 30 2019 at 23.59 Finnish time. The scholarship is available for the staff members of University of Turku or Åbo Akademi University.
