FORECO (Foresight in Ecosystems)

Decription: In the FORECO project, coordinated by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, researchers are developing practices and processes for strategic foresight and supporting AI solutions for ecosystems. The goal is to strengthen the international competitiveness of these ecosystems and their constituent companies. Beyond merely producing foresight data, FORECO examines how this information is utilized in collective strategic decision-making and proactive shaping of markets. The primary subjects of research and process development in the project are the participating leading ecosystem programs of Business Finland. Turku School of Economics focuses specifically on the latter aspects: decision-making, market shaping, and the integration of these approaches with foresight activities. In addition to the Centre for Collaborative Research (CCR), the project is being implemented by the Finland Futures Research Centre (FFRC).
