Discussion session on the internal evaluation of the EC2U Alliance

The University of Turku has been a member of the EC2U Alliance for six years, during which time the Alliance has offered numerous opportunities for European collaboration and mobility to members of our university community. What benefits has the alliance brought, and what impact has it had on our university? Join a session on 11 November on the internal evaluation of the Alliance!

The EC2U Alliance provides a platform that strengthens the University of Turku's international visibility and supports the university's commitment to European higher education networks and the European Higher Education Area. How does our community perceive membership of the Alliance? What benefits does alliance-based cooperation offer, and how can it be further developed? What kind of impact can this cooperation achieve?

These topics will be discussed at an open event on Wednesday 11 November 2026 in the Tauno Nurmela lecture hall of the University's main building from 8.30 am to 10.00 am.

The event will be hosted and the discussion facilitated by Vice Rector Tapio Salakoski.

At the event, Entrepreneurship Program Manager Kirsi Peura will present the internal evaluation she has carried out, which examines the outcomes and internal impact of membership of the EC2U Alliance. The evaluation is based on interviews and a survey conducted at the University of Turku.

The session also offers the university community an opportunity to discuss the Alliance's objectives, strategy and future.

Both those who have been involved in the Alliance's activities and members of the university community interested in its work and outcomes are welcome to attend. The event is primarily aimed at staff, but students are also welcome to join.

NB: The main language of the event is Finnish, but the presentation slides are in English and discussions may also take place in English.

We encourage you to attend in person, but you can also follow the event remotely. We look forward to seeing you there!
