Insitute of Biomedicine (Application period 10.3.2025-23.3.2025)

Institute of Biomedicine opens a call for grant applications. The purpose of the grant is to support scientific research visit of any medical doctor undertaking European Masters in Molecular Pathology. The grant is related to a research project on a rapid nanopore based genomic characterisation of influenza and other respiratory viruses, with a main focus on developing bioinformatic analysis part of the process. Previous experience on clinical and molecular virology including PCR, sequencing and virus genotyping, as well as understanding of metagenomics, are considered beneficial for the applicant.

• Grant is for 1 month
• Amount of the grant: 800 €/ month
• Application period: 10^th March – 23^rd March 2025
